The Devils Lake Firebirds were victorious over the visiting Wahpeton Huskies basketball squad by a final score of 59-49 in Thursday's non-league outing.
Next, the Firebirds face the Central Cass Squirrels (Casselton, ND) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, February 15. Devils Lake will attempt to upgrade on its 17-0 season record. The Squirrels enter the outing with a 5-11 record after their 75-70 non-league win over Park Rapids (Park Rapids, MN).
The Huskies (11-7) will now prepare for their outing against Kindred (Kindred, ND). The Vikings enter the A Region 1 outing with a 18-1 record. In their last outing, Kindred ran past Fargo North (Fargo, ND), 85-69, in a non-league outing.
