The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Richlands Wildcats (Richlands, NC) and the host Dixon Bulldogs (Holly Ridge, NC), observed Richlands's basketball team knock off Dixon by a score of 65-48.

The Wildcats (5-16) will now prepare for their challenge against Croatan (Newport, NC). The Cougars come into the 3A Coastal challenge with a 15-6 record. In their last challenge, Croatan was knocked off by West Carteret (Morehead City, NC), 82-77, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Bulldogs encounter the White Oak Vikings (Jacksonville, NC) in a 3A Coastal challenge, on Wednesday, February 19. Dixon will attempt to improve on its 2-20 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 14-7 record after their 85-64 league loss to Swansboro (Swansboro, NC).
