The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the McDonogh Eagles (Owings Mills, MD) and the visiting Loyola Blakefield Dons (Towson, MD), observed McDonogh's basketball team edge Loyola Blakefield by a score of 44-40.
The Eagles (14-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Pallotti (Laurel, MD). The Panthers come into the MIAA A - Red challenge with a 8-15 record. In their last challenge, Pallotti was tipped by Calvert Hall (Baltimore, MD), 61-59, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Dons encounter the St. Frances Academy Panthers (Baltimore, MD) in a MIAA A - Red challenge, on Friday, February 14. Loyola Blakefield will attempt to improve on its 17-15 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 25-6 record after their 78-46 league win over Calvert Hall (Baltimore, MD).
