The Sherman Tide were victorious over the visiting Montcalm Generals basketball squad by a final score of 53-37 in Thursday's non-league outing.

Next, the Tide face the Midland Trail Patriots (Hico, WV) in a Coalfield AA outing, on Saturday, February 15. Sherman will attempt to upgrade on its 11-7 season record. The Patriots enter the outing with a 10-7 record after their 67-58 non-league loss to Summit Christian Academy (Princeton, WV).

The Generals (11-5) will now prepare for their outing against Webster County (Upper Glade, WV). The Highlanders enter the non-league outing with a 5-13 record. In their last outing, Webster County was defeated by Greenbrier West (Charmco, WV), 59-41, in a league outing.
