In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Truman Patriots basketball team scored a big 79-56 triumph over the Platte County Pirates.

The Patriots (15-9) will now prepare for their contest against Raytown (Raytown, MO). The Bluejays go into the non-league contest with a 19-4 record. In their last contest, Raytown smashed Ruskin (Kansas City, MO), 85-50, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Pirates confront the Belton Pirates (Belton, MO) in a Suburban - White contest, on Tuesday, February 18. Platte County will attempt to better on its 8-15 season record. The Pirates go into the contest with a 9-14 record after their 57-53 league win over Grain Valley (Grain Valley, MO).
