Iowa High School Basketball - Assumption holds off Clinton

The Assumption Knights basketball team scored 42 points and limited the visiting Clinton River Kings to 36 in the Knights league triumph on Thursday.
The Knights now have a 10-11 record. They play next when they host Solon for a non-league game on Saturday, February 15. Assumption will confront a Spartans team coming off a 61-25 non-league win over Vinton-Shellsburg (Vinton, IA). The Spartans record now stands at 11-10.
With the loss, Clinton falls to 8-12 on the campaign. The River kings host North Scott (Eldridge, IA) to confront the Lancers in a Mississippi game on Wednesday, February 19. The Lancers go into the game with a record of 6-15.
