Bishop Walsh Spartans (Cumberland, MD) supporters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Hancock Panthers (Hancock, MD), 43-23 in a league match.
With the victory, Bishop Walsh advances its record to 5-11 on the year. The Spartans travel to Turkeyfoot Valley Area (Confluence, PA) to face the Rams in a non-league match on Saturday, February 15. The Rams enter the match with a record of 12-8. Turkeyfoot Valley Area lost 63-32 in their recent non-league match against Blacklick Valley (Nanty Glo, PA)
The Panthers now own a 1-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Union for a non-league match on Tuesday, February 18. Hancock will face a Tigers squad coming off a 48-18 non-league loss to Berkeley Springs (Berkeley Springs, WV). The Tigers record now stands at 3-12.
