The Caney Cougars (Caney, OK) basketball edged the visiting Stuart Hornets (Stuart, OK), 44-40 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Cougars now possess a 9-13 record. They play next when they host Stringtown for a Big 5 bout on Saturday, February 15. Caney will play a Tigers team coming off a 70-25 league win over Milburn (Milburn, OK). The Tigers record now stands at 18-3.
With the loss, Stuart falls to 9-16 on the campaign.
