The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Chavez Eagles (San Fernando, CA) and the visiting Monroe Vikings (North Hills, CA), observed Chavez's basketball team overwhelm Monroe by a score of 33-4.

The Eagles (11-13) will now prepare for their challenge against North Hollywood (North Hollywood, CA). The Huskies come into the East Valley challenge with a 4-16 record. In their last challenge, North Hollywood was routed by Grant (Van Nuys, CA), 44-28, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Vikings battle the Grant Lancers (Van Nuys, CA) in a East Valley challenge, on Friday, February 14. Monroe will attempt to improve on its 0-11 season record. The Lancers come into the challenge with a 13-8 record after their 40-21 league win over Poly (Sun Valley, CA).
