New Mexico High School Basketball - East Mountain triumphant over Coronado

The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the East Mountain Timberwolves (Sandia Park, NM) and the visiting Coronado Leopards (Gallina, NM), observed East Mountain's basketball team overwhelm Coronado by a margin of 64-33.
The Timberwolves (7-15) will now prepare for their challenge against Cottonwood Classical Prep (Albuquerque, NM). The Coyotes come into the 3A District 5 challenge with a 6-19 record. In their last challenge, Cottonwood Classical Prep was trounced by Sandia Prep (Albuquerque, NM), 49-39, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Leopards battle the Pine Hill Warriors (Pine Hill, NM) in a A District 1 challenge, on Saturday, February 15. Coronado will attempt to better on its 5-16 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 15-9 record after their 66-20 league win over Northwest (Shiprock, NM).
