In Thursday's league contest, the visiting Guymon Tigers basketball team scored a good 52-44 win over the Elgin Owls.

The Tigers (11-8) will now prepare for their contest against MacArthur (Lawton, OK). The Highlanders come into the 5A District 1 contest with a 9-12 record. In their last contest, MacArthur was topped by El Reno (El Reno, OK), 60-37, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Owls battle the Carl Albert Titans (Midwest City, OK) in a non-league contest, on Friday, February 14. Elgin will attempt to better on its 5-14 season record. The Titans come into the contest with a 23-1 record after their 66-25 non-league win over Crossings Christian (Oklahoma City, OK).
