The Fort Benton Longhorns basketball team scored 53 points and limited the visiting Hays-Lodge Pole Thunder Birds to 33 in the Longhorns non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Longhorns now have a 12-4 record. They play next when they travel to Big Sandy for a C District 9 game on Friday, February 14. Fort Benton will confront a Pioneers team coming off a 69-59 league win over North Star (Rudyard, MT). The Pioneers record now stands at 9-4.

With the loss, Hays-Lodge Pole falls to 7-6 on the campaign. The Thunder birds travel to Turner (Turner, MT) to confront the Tornadoes in a non-league game on Friday, February 14. The Tornadoes go into the game with a record of 5-9. Turner lost 44-37 in their recent league game against Fort Benton (Fort Benton, MT)
