The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Verdigris Cardinals (Claremore, OK) and the host Inola Longhorns (Inola, OK), observed Verdigris's basketball team overcome Inola by a score of 60-50.

The Cardinals (7-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Fort Gibson (Fort Gibson, OK). The Tigers come into the Verdigris Valley challenge with a 17-3 record. In their last challenge, Fort Gibson defeated Ada (Ada, OK), 77-46, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Longhorns battle the Adair Warriors (Adair, OK) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 14. Inola will attempt to improve on its 7-12 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 17-3 record after their 57-40 non-league win over Sequoyah (Claremore, OK).
