The Newman Catholic Knights (Mason City, IA) basketball were winner over the host Nashua-Plainfield Huskies (Nashua, IA), 57-40 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Knights now possess a 14-8 record. They play next when they travel to West Bend-Mallard for a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 18. Newman Catholic will play a Wolverines team coming off a 61-48 non-league win over West Hancock (Britt, IA). The Wolverines record now stands at 17-6.
With the loss, Nashua-Plainfield falls to 11-11 on the campaign.
