The Northampton County Jaguars basketball squad (Gaston, NC), was nudged 37-33 in Thursday's league battle with the host Northwest Halifax Vikings (Littleton, NC)
With the victory, Northwest Halifax advances its record to 10-11 on the year. The Vikings travel to Weldon (Weldon, NC) to meet the Chargers in a 1A Tar Roanoke battle on Friday, February 14. The Chargers enter the battle with a record of 8-7. Weldon won 55-24 in their recent league battle against Rocky Mount Prep (Rocky Mount, NC)
The Jaguars now own a 9-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Edgecombe for a 1A Tar Roanoke battle on Saturday, February 15. Northampton County will meet a Warriors squad coming off a 44-38 league win over Weldon (Weldon, NC). The Warriors record now stands at 13-6.
