New Mexico High School Basketball - Sandia holds off Manzano

The Sandia Matadors basketball team scored 36 points and limited the host Manzano Monarchs to 29 in the Matadors non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Matadors now have a 7-2 record. They play next when they travel to Eldorado for a non-league game on Tuesday, February 18. Sandia will confront a Golden Eagles team coming off a 53-31 non-league loss to Santa Fe (Santa Fe, NM). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 2-6.
With the loss, Manzano falls to 6-10 on the campaign. The Monarchs host Capital (Santa Fe, NM) to confront the Jaguars in a non-league game on Tuesday, February 18. The Jaguars go into the game with a record of 0-8.
