Texas High School Basketball - Goliad triumphant over Luling

The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Goliad Tigers (Goliad, TX) and the host Luling Eagles (Luling, TX), observed Goliad's basketball team overwhelm Luling by a margin of 89-36.

The Tigers (27-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Nixon-Smiley (Nixon, TX). The Mustangs come into the 3A Region IV District 26 challenge with a 19-10 record. In their last challenge, Nixon-Smiley was trounced by Poth (Poth, TX), 69-42, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Stockdale Brahmas (Stockdale, TX) in a 3A Region IV District 26 contest, on Tuesday, February 17. Luling will attempt to better on its 6-25 season record. The Brahmas go into the contest with a 8-23 record after their 37-27 league loss to Karnes City (Karnes City, TX).
