In Friday's league contest, the host Monticello Magic basketball team scored a big 73-50 win over the St. Francis Fighting Saints.

The Magic (16-5) will now prepare for their contest against North Branch (North Branch, MN). The Vikings come into the AAA Section 7 contest with a 2-15 record.

In their next game, the Fighting Saints battle the Chisago Lakes Area Wildcats (Lindstrom, MN) in a AAA Section 7 match, on Tuesday, February 17. St. Francis will attempt to advance on its 4-15 season record. The Wildcats enter the match with a 10-12 record after their 83-51 league loss to Grand Rapids (Grand Rapids, MN).
