The Melrose-Mindoro Mustangs basketball team scored 88 points and held the visiting Augusta Beavers to 49 in the Mustangs league triumph on Tuesday.

The Mustangs now sport a 15-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Eleva-Strum for a Dairyland - Large contest on Friday, February 17. Melrose-Mindoro will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 71-32 league loss to Cochrane-Fountain City (Fountain City, WI). The Cardinals record now stands at 2-18.

The Beavers (4-16) will now prepare for their contest against Whitehall (Whitehall, WI). The Norse enter the Dairyland - Large contest with a 13-5 record. In their last contest, Whitehall triumphed over Blair-Taylor (Blair, WI), 68-55, in a league contest.
