Mountain View Cougars (Bend, OR) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Bend Lava Bears (Bend, OR), 65-58 in a league match.

In their next game, the Cougars meet the Southridge Skyhawks (Beaverton, OR) in a 6A Metro match, on Friday, February 17. Mountain View will attempt to better on its 19-8 season record. The Skyhawks enter the match with a 17-5 record after their 72-60 league win over Jesuit (Portland, OR).

With the defeat, Bend moves to 12-9 on the year. The Lava bears host Ridgeview (Redmond, OR) to clash with the Ravens in a 5A Intermountain bout on Friday, February 17. The Ravens go into the bout with a record of 7-13. Ridgeview won 63-52 in their recent league bout against Caldera (Bend, OR)
