The Cair Paravel Lions (Topeka, KS) basketball nipped the host Maranatha Christian Academy Eagles (Shawnee, KS), 48-45 in Tuesday's league test.
The Lions (5-9) will now prepare for their test against Bishop Ward (Kansas City, KS). The Cyclones go into the Kaw Valley test with a 15-3 record. In their last test, Bishop Ward was tipped by Heritage Christian Academy (Olathe, KS), 67-52, in a non-league test.
The Eagles now own a 1-16 record. They play next when they travel to Bishop Seabury Academy for a non-league test on Friday, February 17. Maranatha Christian Academy will encounter a Seahawks squad coming off a 53-51 non-league win over Kansas City Christian School (Prairie Village, KS). The Seahawks record now stands at 6-9.
