The Santa Teresa Desert Warriors (Santa Teresa, NM) basketball felled the host Chaparral Lobos (Chaparral, NM), 59-49 in Tuesday's league test.
The Desert Warriors (8-17) will now prepare for their test against Deming (Deming, NM). The Wildcats go into the 4A District 3 test with a 15-10 record. In their last test, Deming was beaten by Silver (Silver City, NM), 60-57, in a league test.
The Lobos now own a 4-20 record. They play next when they travel to Silver for a 4A District 3 test on Friday, February 17. Chaparral will encounter a Fighting Colts squad coming off a 60-57 league win over Deming (Deming, NM). The Fighting Colts record now stands at 15-9.
