In Tuesday's league outing, the Columbia Eagles (Columbia, IL) basketball squad felled the visiting Freeburg Midgets (Freeburg, IL), by a margin of 58-47.
The Eagles (27-3) will now prepare for their outing against Breese Central (Breese, IL). The Cougars go into the Cahokia - Mississippi outing with a 25-4 record. In their last outing, Breese Central thwarted East Alton-Wood River (Wood River, IL), 69-35, in a league outing.
The Midgets now own a 20-11 record. They play next when they host Chester for a non-league outing on Saturday, February 18. Freeburg will clash with a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 43-42 league win over Wesclin (Trenton, IL). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 13-17.
