Hermleigh Cardinals (Hermleigh, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Ira Bulldogs (Ira, TX), 48-41 in a league bout.

With the victory, Hermleigh upgrades its record to 22-10 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Roby (Roby, TX) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Friday, February 17. The Lions come into the bout with a record of 7-10. Roby won 48-32 in their recent league bout against Rotan (Rotan, TX)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the May Tigers (May, TX) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 20. Ira will attempt to upgrade on its 16-10 season record.
