The John Marshall Rockets basketball team (Rochester, MN), was nudged 66-62 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Mankato East Cougars (Mankato, MN)
The Cougars now possess a 14-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mankato West for a AAA Section 2 battle on Friday, February 17. Mankato East will battle a Scarlets team coming off a 80-74 non-league win over Albert Lea (Albert Lea, MN). The Scarlets record now stands at 10-9.
The Rockets (7-13) will now prepare for their battle against Red Wing (Red Wing, MN). The Wingers come into the non-league battle with a 5-17 record. In their last battle, Red Wing edged Faribault (Faribault, MN), 65-25, in a league battle.
