Memphis University Owls (Memphis, TN) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host St. Benedict at Auburndale Eagles (Cordova, TN), 68-52 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Memphis University upgrades its record to 18-9 on the campaign. The Owls travel to Christian Brothers (Memphis, TN) to play the Purple Wave in a Division II-AA West bout on Friday, February 17. The Purple Wave come into the bout with a record of 19-7. Christian Brothers lost 53-48 in their recent league bout against Briarcrest Christian (Eads, TN)

Next up, the Eagles play the Briarcrest Christian Saints (Eads, TN) in a Division II-AA West bout, on Friday, February 17. St. Benedict at Auburndale will attempt to upgrade on its 9-13 season record. The Saints come into the bout with a 30-2 record after their 53-48 league win over Christian Brothers (Memphis, TN).
