The Vergennes Commodores basketball team scored 52 points and held the visiting Missisquoi Valley Thunderbirds to 41 in the Commodores league triumph on Tuesday.

The Commodores now sport a 12-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Country Union for a Metro contest on Monday, February 20. Vergennes will battle a Falcons team coming off a 43-33 league win over Mt. Mansfield (Jericho, VT). The Falcons record now stands at 16-2.

The Thunderbirds (5-13) will now prepare for their contest against Mt. Abraham (Bristol, VT). The Eagles enter the Lake contest with a 7-11 record. In their last contest, Mt. Abraham ran past Milton (Milton, VT), 49-44, in a league contest.
