In Tuesday's league match, the host Waco Lions basketball team scored a tight 53-51 triumph over the University Trojans.
In their next game, the Lions meet the Shoemaker Wolves (Killeen, TX) in a 5A Region III District 22 match, on Friday, February 17. Waco will attempt to move on its 6-23 season record. The Wolves enter the match with a 13-21 record after their 61-43 league loss to Belton (Belton, TX).
With the defeat, University moves to 16-17 on the year.
