Chanute Blue Comets (Chanute, KS) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Pittsburg Dragons (Pittsburg, KS), 29-22 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Chanute upgrades its record to 5-12 on the season. The Blue Comets travel to Field Kindley (Coffeyville, KS) to clash with the Golden Tornado in a non-league bout on Friday, February 17. The Golden Tornado go into the bout with a record of 4-10. Field Kindley lost 49-36 in their recent non-league bout against Parsons (Parsons, KS)

Next up, the Dragons clash with the Fort Scott Tigers (Fort Scott, KS) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 17. Pittsburg will attempt to upgrade on its 1-17 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 15-1 record after their 48-32 non-league win over Labette County (Altamont, KS).
