De Soto Wildcats (De Soto, KS) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host West Chargers (Topeka, KS), 43-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, De Soto upgrades its record to 11-6 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Bonner Springs (Bonner Springs, KS) to clash with the Braves in a non-league bout on Friday, February 17. The Braves go into the bout with a record of 15-2. Bonner Springs won 52-45 in their recent non-league bout against Ottawa (Ottawa, KS)

Next up, the Chargers clash with the Piper Pirates (Kansas City, KS) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 21. West will attempt to upgrade on its 5-13 season record. The Pirates go into the bout with a 13-5 record after their 60-30 non-league win over Turner (Kansas City, KS).
