Newberg Tigers (Newberg, OR) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Liberty Falcons (Hillsboro, OR), 46-36 in a league bout.

With the win, Newberg upgrades its record to 13-8 on the season. The Tigers travel to Sherwood (Sherwood, OR) to play the Bowmen in a 6A Pacific bout on Friday, February 17. The Bowmen go into the bout with a record of 10-11. Sherwood lost 48-39 in their recent league bout against McMinnville (McMinnville, OR)

Next up, the Falcons play the McMinnville Grizzlies (McMinnville, OR) in a 6A Pacific bout, on Friday, February 17. Liberty will attempt to upgrade on its 11-11 season record. The Grizzlies go into the bout with a 14-8 record after their 48-39 league win over Sherwood (Sherwood, OR).
