Minnesota High School Basketball - Owatonna can't hold off Mayo

The Mayo Spartans basketball team scored 55 points and restricted the visiting Owatonna Huskies to 50 in the Spartans league victory on Tuesday.
The Spartans now sport a 18-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Century for a AAAA Section 1 contest on Friday, February 17. Mayo will battle a Panthers team coming off a 56-21 league win over Northfield (Northfield, MN). The Panthers record now stands at 15-6.
The Huskies (8-15) will now prepare for their contest against Faribault (Faribault, MN). The Falcons come into the AAA Section 1 contest with a 5-16 record. In their last contest, Faribault was nudged by Red Wing (Red Wing, MN), 65-25, in a league contest.
