The Minnewaska Area Lakers (Glenwood, MN) basketball felled the host Melrose Dutchmen (Melrose, MN), 56-38 in Tuesday's league test.
The Lakers (11-10) will now prepare for their test against West Central Area (Barrett, MN). The Knights go into the AA Section 3 test with a 9-11 record. In their last test, West Central Area thwarted Melrose (Melrose, MN), 55-42, in a non-league test.
The Dutchmen now own a 3-19 record. They play next when they travel to Montevideo for a non-league test on Thursday, February 16. Melrose will encounter a Thunderhawks squad coming off a 61-36 non-league win over Sauk Centre (Sauk Centre, MN). The Thunderhawks record now stands at 16-3.
