The Sault Area Blue Devils (Sault St. Marie, MI) basketball crushed the host Newberry Indians (Newberry, MI), 73-17 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Blue Devils (13-2) will now prepare for their test against St.Ignace (St. Ignace, MI). The Saints go into the Straits Area test with a 11-7 record. In their last test, St.Ignace was trounced by Brimley (Brimley, MI), 73-38, in a non-league test.
The Indians now own a 2-13 record. They play next when they travel to Cedarville for a Eastern Upper Peninsula test on Thursday, February 16. Newberry will encounter a Trojans squad coming off a 59-20 league win over Rudyard (Rudyard, MI). The Trojans record now stands at 13-2.
