Effingham County Rebels (Springfield, GA) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad edge the host South Effingham Mustangs (Guyton, GA), 8-7 in a non-league battle.
The Rebels now have a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host May River for a non-league battle on Wednesday, February 22.
In their next game, the Mustangs clash with the Ola Mustangs (McDonough, GA) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, February 18. South Effingham will attempt to move on its 0-4 season record. The Mustangs come into the battle with a 0-2 record after their 17-1 non-league loss to Savannah Christian (Savannah, GA).
