The St. Augustine Purple Knights basketball team scored 56 points and held the host Holy Cross Tigers to 34 in the Purple Knights league triumph on Wednesday.

The Purple Knights now sport a 21-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Edna Karr for a 5A District 9 contest on Friday, February 16. St. Augustine will battle a Cougars team coming off a 44-29 league loss to John Curtis Christian (River Ridge, LA). The Cougars record now stands at 22-10.

The Tigers (14-16) will now prepare for their contest against Jesuit (New Orleans, LA). The Blue Jays enter the 5A District 9 contest with a 25-8 record. In their last contest, Jesuit triumphed over St. Augustine (New Orleans, LA), 50-45, in a league contest.
