KIPP Newark Lab Sharks (Newark, NJ) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Irvington Blue Knights (Irvington, NJ), 53-30 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, KIPP Newark Lab upgrades its record to 11-7 on the campaign. The Sharks travel to Arts (Newark, NJ) to play the Jaguars in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 15. The Jaguars come into the bout with a record of 12-12.

Next up, the Blue Knights play the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Raiders (Scotch Plains, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 15. Irvington will attempt to upgrade on its 10-11 season record. The Raiders come into the bout with a 13-11 record after their 61-51 non-league win over Piscataway (Piscataway, NJ).
