Roosevelt Mustangs (Eastvale, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Santiago Sharks (Corona, CA), 12-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they host Valley View for a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 24.

With the loss, Santiago falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Sharks travel to Upland (Upland, CA) to battle the Highlanders/Scots in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 27. The Highlanders/Scots enter the challenge with a record of 3-1.
