Fort Bend Kempner Cougars (Sugar Land, TX) fans were pleased Wednesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Lamar Consolidated Mustangs (Rosenberg, TX), 2-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Cougars confront the Fort Bend Marshall Buffalos (Missouri City, TX) in a 5A Region 3 District 20 challenge, on Friday, February 16. Fort Bend Kempner will attempt to better on its 4-4 season record. The Buffalos enter the challenge with a 0-7 record after their 6-1 league loss to Randle (Richmond, TX).

The Mustangs now have a 3-10 record. They take the field next when they host Fulshear for a 5A Region 3 District 20 challenge on Saturday, February 17. Lamar Consolidated will confront a Chargers team coming off a 4-3 league win over Foster (Richmond, TX). The Chargers record now stands at 8-2.
