Virginia High School Basketball - Floyd County holds off Alleghany

In Friday's league contest, the visiting Floyd County Buffaloes basketball team scored a close 67-61 triumph over the Alleghany Cougars.

The Buffaloes (16-5) will now prepare for their contest against Pulaski County (Dublin, VA). The Cougars go into the non-league contest with a 5-17 record.

In their next game, the Cougars confront the James River Knights (Buchanan, VA) in a Three Rivers contest, on Monday, February 17. Alleghany will attempt to better on its 14-7 season record. The Knights go into the contest with a 7-18 record after their 63-35 league loss to Glenvar (Salem, VA).
