Kansas High School Basketball - Iola nips Anderson County

In Friday's league contest, the visiting Iola Mustangs basketball team scored a close 56-54 triumph over the Anderson County Bulldogs.

The Mustangs (7-11) will now prepare for their contest against Osawatomie (Osawatomie, KS). The Trojans go into the Pioneer contest with a 10-7 record. In their last contest, Osawatomie nipped Santa Fe Trail (Carbondale, KS), 51-47, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the Wellsville Eagles (Wellsville, KS) in a Pioneer contest, on Tuesday, February 18. Anderson County will attempt to better on its 11-6 season record. The Eagles go into the contest with a 11-7 record after their 73-44 non-league loss to Baldwin (Baldwin, KS).
