Wisconsin High School Basketball - Mellen succumbs to Bayfield

In Friday's league test, the Bayfield Trollers (Bayfield, WI) basketball squad defeated the visiting Mellen Granite Diggers (Mellen, WI), by a final score of 85-70.

Next, the Trollers clash with the Fond du Lac Ojibwe Ogichida Ogichida (Cloquet, MN) in a non-league test, on Saturday, February 15. Bayfield will attempt to upgrade on its 16-5 season record. The Ogichida come into the test with a 6-12 record after their 111-89 league win over Northland (Remer, MN).

The Granite Diggers (17-3) will now prepare for their test against Winter (Winter, WI). The Warriors come into the non-league test with a 2-19 record. In their last test, Winter went down by Lac Courte Oreilles (Hayward, WI), 63-60, in a non-league test.
