In Friday's league contest, the host New Lothrop Hornets basketball team scored a good 55-41 triumph over the Byron Eagles.

The Hornets (7-10) will now prepare for their contest against Fowlerville (Fowlerville, MI). The Gladiators go into the non-league contest with a 3-17 record. In their last contest, Fowlerville was topped by Mason (Mason, MI), 73-52, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Morrice Orioles (Morrice, MI) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, February 18. Byron will attempt to better on its 3-15 season record. The Orioles go into the contest with a 3-14 record after their 76-59 non-league loss to Livingston Christian (Pinckney, MI).
