The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Covenant Christian Academy Lions (Houma, LA) and the visiting Jeanerette Tigers (Jeanerette, LA), observed Covenant Christian Academy's basketball team knock off Jeanerette by a score of 55-39.

The Lions (14-16) will now prepare for their challenge against Centerville (Centerville, LA). The Bulldogs come into the 1A District 7 challenge with a 13-13 record. In their last challenge, Centerville prevailed over Hanson Memorial (Franklin, LA), 59-48, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Tigers encounter the Central Catholic Eagles (Morgan City, LA) in a 1A District 7 challenge, on Tuesday, February 18. Jeanerette will attempt to improve on its 11-16 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 27-18 record after their 60-43 non-league win over Thibodaux (Thibodaux, LA).
