The Ellsworth Bearcats basketball team scored 42 points and limited the visiting Republic County Buffaloes to 35 in the Bearcats league triumph on Friday.

The Bearcats now possess a 8-10 record. They play next when they host Southeast of Saline for a North Central AA game on Tuesday, February 18. Ellsworth will confront a Trojans team coming off a 64-38 league win over Minneapolis (Minneapolis, KS). The Trojans record now stands at 9-9.

With the loss, Republic County falls to 3-15 on the campaign. The Buffaloes travel to Sacred Heart (Salina, KS) to confront the Knights in a North Central AA game on Friday, February 21. The Knights go into the game with a record of 16-0.
