The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Hazen Wildcats (Hardwick, VT) and the host Lake Region Rangers (Orleans, VT), observed Hazen's basketball team knock off Lake Region by a score of 57-42.

The Wildcats (14-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Lamoille (Hyde Park, VT). The Lancers come into the non-league challenge with a 10-7 record. In their last challenge, Lamoille prevailed over U-32 (Montpelier, VT), 77-54, in a league bout.

With the loss, Lake Region falls to 6-12 on the campaign. The Rangers host Harwood (Moretown, VT) to play the Highlanders in a Capital bout on Saturday, February 15. The Highlanders go into the bout with a record of 15-3. Harwood won 61-41 in their recent league bout against Lake Region (Orleans, VT)
