The Martins Ferry Purple Riders basketball squad (Martins Ferry, OH), was outscored 60-52 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Union Local Jets (Belmont, OH)

With the victory, Union Local advances its record to 16-6 on the year. The Jets host Sandy Valley (Magnolia, OH) to meet the Cardinals in a non-league battle on Saturday, February 22. The Cardinals enter the battle with a record of 7-15. Sandy Valley lost 65-36 in their recent non-league battle against Conotton Valley (Bowerston, OH)

The Purple Riders now own a 10-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Morgan for a non-league battle on Saturday, February 22. Martins Ferry will meet a Raiders squad coming off a 46-45 league loss to New Lexington (New Lexington, OH). The Raiders record now stands at 4-18.
