The Melvindale Cardinals nipped the host Romulus Eagles basketball squad by a final score of 59-53 in Friday's league outing.

Next, the Cardinals face the Crestwood Chargers (Dearborn Heights, MI) in a Western Wayne outing, on Wednesday, February 19. Melvindale will attempt to upgrade on its 13-7 season record.

The Eagles (6-12) will now prepare for their outing against Arbor Prep (Ypsilanti, MI). The Gators enter the non-league outing with a 11-9 record. In their last outing, Arbor Prep was nipped by Canton Preparatory (Canton, MI), 62-58, in a non-league outing.
