In Friday's league test, the Siuslaw Vikings (Florence, OR) basketball squad defeated the visiting South Umpqua Lancers (Myrtle Creek, OR), by a final score of 48-38.
Next, the Vikings clash with the Glide Wildcats (Glide, OR) in a 3A Far West test, on Tuesday, February 18. Siuslaw will attempt to upgrade on its 17-6 season record. The Wildcats come into the test with a 4-16 record after their 48-32 league loss to Coquille (Coquille, OR).
The Lancers (10-11) will now prepare for their test against Douglas (Winston, OR). The Trojans come into the 3A Far West test with a 12-10 record. In their last test, Douglas overcame Sutherlin (Sutherlin, OR), 42-39, in a league test.
