The South Lyon East Cougars basketball team scored 52 points and limited the host Walled Lake Western Warriors to 49 in the Cougars league triumph on Friday.

The Cougars now have a 13-8 record. They play next when they travel to Walled Lake Northern for a Lakes Valley game on Thursday, February 20. South Lyon East will confront a Knights team coming off a 41-30 league loss to Milford (Highland, MI). The Knights record now stands at 9-12.

With the loss, Walled Lake Western falls to 5-14 on the campaign. The Warriors host New Haven (New Haven, MI) to confront the Rockets in a non-league game on Monday, February 17. The Rockets go into the game with a record of 10-10. New Haven won 51-49 in their recent non-league game against Lake Shore (St. Clair Shores, MI)
